We always aim to provide a distinguished educational environment that provides educational services to students that achieve the aspirations of the labor market, through academic programs and their outputs. The College of Engineering relies on advanced scientific curricula in order to graduate engineers with international standards and high efficiency, under the supervision of a selection of faculty members. About the Educational Affairs Unit 

A sub-organizational entity entrusted with supporting and achieving the quality of the teaching and learning processes in all its elements. The unit is supervised by a distinguished faculty member in educational affairs, and is linked to the Vice Dean for Educational and Development Affairs, and is assisted by a coordinator from the female section who has the same characteristics. The Dean of the College upon the nomination of the concerned College Vice Dean.

Objectives 

  • Supporting the educational process by applying the best academic practices. 
  • Implementing academic programs and developing their plans. 
  • Implementation of the study list and tests.

Tasks
  • ​Ensuring the activation of the rules governing the university's study and examination regulations and ensuring their application. 
  • Coordination with the scientific departments, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, and various departments to facilitate procedures related to the tasks of academic affairs. 
  • Review the proposed semester study schedules, and recommend what is necessary. 
  • Suggesting and following up the implementation of awareness plans of the importance of accreditation for academic programs through counseling meetings and others. 
  • Suggesting solutions to any problems facing the educational process. 
  • Consider students' excuses for absenteeism and not attending exams.
  • Suggesting the establishment and follow-up of a database of distinguished students, academically and morally, as well as those who have negative comments. 
  • Suggesting instructions and rules for faculty members to prepare for the university year.
  • Reviewing the equivalencies of transferred and re-enrolled students at the beginning of each academic semester, and reviewing transfer operations reports and procedures. 
  • Studying the work assigned to it, submitting proposals and taking appropriate decisions within the limits of the powers granted or delegated by the authority in writing. 
  • Submit the minutes of the committee's meetings to the dean of the college for discussion and approval by the 
  • ​college council. Submit an annual report to the college administration on the activities of the committee. ​
